Privacy Policy
This policy describes how Octenor, Inc. ("Octenor", "we", "us") handles information on this website, octenor.com. Octenor is a pre-launch product, and this site exists to explain what we are building and to let interested teams get in touch. We have tried to keep both the site and this policy simple.
What we collect
We collect very little, and we have designed the site that way on purpose.
- Site analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how many people visit the site and which pages they view. It is a privacy-friendly service: it does not use cookies, does not fingerprint devices, and does not track visitors across other sites. We see aggregated information such as page views, referrers, browser types, and country-level location. We cannot identify individual visitors from it.
- Email correspondence. If you email us at [email protected], for example to request early access or a demo, we receive your email address, anything you choose to include in your message, and your name if your email client shares it.
This site does not set cookies, does not include advertising trackers, and has no user accounts or sign-up forms.
How we use it
We use analytics data to understand interest in Octenor and to improve the site. We use email correspondence to reply to you, to keep track of who has asked for early access so we can follow up when it opens, and to answer questions about the product.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We do not send marketing email to people who have not written to us first, and if you ask us to stop contacting you, we will.
Service providers
Like most websites, we rely on a small number of infrastructure providers to operate this site and our email, such as our hosting and analytics provider (Cloudflare) and our email provider. These providers process data on our behalf to deliver their service to us, not for their own purposes beyond what their own policies describe.
Retention
Analytics data is aggregated and is retained per Cloudflare Web Analytics defaults; we do not maintain a separate store of it. Email correspondence is kept for as long as it is useful for the conversation it belongs to, for example so we can contact you when early access opens. You can ask us to delete your correspondence at any time.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. Because the only personal information we typically hold is email correspondence you sent us, the practical version of these rights is simple: email us and we will show you what we have, correct it, or delete it.
Children
This site is intended for a professional audience and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If our practices change, for example when the Octenor product launches, we will update this policy and change the effective date at the top of this page.
